DIY ReStore

Have you ever been to you local Restore store? Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price.  Habitat for Humanity ReStores are proudly owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and proceeds are used to build homes, community, and hope locally and around the world. This weekend I popped into my local store to check out their options for headboards. I found this great one for $50!

I knew with a little love, it would be the perfect addition to the guest bedroom. I went straight to the local craft store and snagged 3 bottles of flat white paint and 2yds of a light burlap material.

After removing the fabric section of the headboard, I painted the entire frame white. While waiting for it to dry, I was able to reupholster the headboard using my staple gun and new fabric. After about a combined about 2 hours it was complete. Check out the new look!
